ILAJUC researcher Jaciele Davi attended the Amazon Dialogues, a meeting of civil society organizations from Amazonian countries to articulate proposals on how to protect the forest, which took place between August 4 and 6, 2023, in Belém do Pará. The event was attended by representatives of civil society and the State of the countries that are part of the Amazon, with special emphasis on the ministers of the environment.
ILAJUC continues to monitor discussions on controlling deforestation in Brazilian and Latin American biomes and the fight against climate change. The event provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen local alliances and reflect on concrete actions in defense of the environment and the populations that depend on the forest.
