Paths to a diligent production chain
Although meat production is a significant pillar of the Brazilian economy, it is unfortunately also the biggest driver of global deforestation and loss of natural ecosystems.
In addition, livestock farming is associated with human rights issues, such as labor exploitation and conflicts in indigenous lands and rural areas. Ensuring that the livestock chain is ethical and respectful of human rights is a moral and legal obligation.
In this context, in collaboration with the Climate and Society Institute, we developed the study “Beef Map: Paths to a diligent production chain”, whose main objective is to provide clear and comprehensive guidance for the effective implementation of due diligence in all phases of the livestock production chain, particularly beef, in Brazil.
