ILAJUC works to strengthen human and collective rights, promoting social, environmental and climate justice in Latin America. Our team is made up of experts in administrative law, international human rights law, environmental law, environmental engineering, forest biology and ecology.
We have extensive experience in transnational collective litigation in the areas of human rights and business, environmental law, antitrust law and consumer law.
ILAJUC works to promote public policies with the executive, legislative and judicial branches, in addition to contributing to the advancement of corporate policies and practices in the areas of sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), creating spaces for exchanging experiences and building partnerships between civil society, companies, international organizations and the state.
ILAJUC promotes the construction of technical investigations to expand access to tools that can assist organizations, social movements, decision-making bodies and strategic stakeholders in the construction of processes for the realization of collective rights in Latin America.
ILAJUC uses strategic litigation, both nationally and internationally, to guarantee collective rights contained in international human rights treaties and in the national constitutions of Latin American countries. The objective is to defend collective rights in order to achieve structural and systematic changes, based on specific and effective legal actions.
